Motherhood is not a curse. And if there’s one thing that we pride ourselves on at The MOMpire it’s that instead of hiding our motherhood, we claim it as one of our greatest assets! Moms in business, you are more amazing than you give yourself credit for.
We had a new MOMpire Network orientation a couple of weeks ago, and one of the new mama’s kids kept popping in and out of the screen. When it was her turn to talk she started apologizing…HARD STOP RIGHT THERE, MAMA!!
You are a business owner AND A MOM…and we want you to own it. No “sorry” necessary. We are so happy to wave to the little ones, ask them what their name is and what show they’re watching or project they’re working on while mama is on her work call.
WE GET IT! And we love you for it. Don’t hide your motherhood.
Moms in Business Are Resilient
Then, on a co-working call the other day, a conversation came up that reminded me of how truly amazing moms in business are. We talked about how navigating the world of Instagram can be tricky because there are a lot of young women in business killing it in the space. They are traveling and living their early 20’s dream lives, WHILE busting out content like it’s no big deal.
For moms, the work and the way we work is different. It’s hard, as mamas, to not get sucked into the dreamy facade of Instagram.
So let me remind you of something… YOU are living your dream life! You’re not only building a business for you and your family… you are a MOMMY. And that’s the dream right there.
And let’s remember, you are simultaneously wearing 5 other hats as a mom, wife, financial planner, home manager, taxi driver, AND SO ON! We are resilient.
Moms in Business “Just Get It”
I’m convinced that moms in business are in a whole league of their own. And because of the unique roles we have as business owners and mamas, there is a sense of community and camaraderie between us all. It’s like an invisible string that connects us… and we “just get it.”
This is why coming together in a community is so important. Your mama business friends just get you like no other friends do. They are there for you in support, encouragement, and celebration.

I get choked up just thinking about it. Our little ones are watching us. They see how hard you are working. They see that you are also prioritizing THEM, and they see how you are taking care of yourself.
And if you let them into your world, they will begin celebrating with you! They will get excited that mommy was interviewed on that podcast. They will celebrate when mommy lands a new client. It becomes a family business, and that’s everything we ever dreamed of, right?
Not only that…but YOUR KIDS WILL START TO DREAM BIG TOO! What a gift.

You better believe that your mama friends are watching you. And YOU, my friend, can be that bit of inspiration for them to finally go after their dreams. They will see that being a GOOD mama and a SUCCESSFUL business owner is possible.
